Imaging that informs
the assessment.
A face-to-face examination comes first. Ultrasound can add another layer of information.
Adam uses ultrasound in his aesthetics work, as shown in Precision’s ultrasound highlight. Your assessment brings together what you are experiencing, your treatment history and the findings from an examination.
Where it is appropriate, ultrasound can help identify filler deposits and relevant facial structures. Some ultrasound techniques can also assess blood flow. What a scan can show depends on the equipment, operator, product and area examined.
A scan cannot guarantee that every deposit will be identified, that every complication will be excluded or that a particular outcome will follow.
Start with your concern.
You may want to discuss unwanted volume, an uneven appearance, a suspected migration or a result that no longer feels right for you. Bring the product names, treatment dates and records you have available.
Understand what is there.
Where appropriate, ultrasound can contribute to understanding the location of existing filler. Imaging is interpreted alongside your examination; not every lump or change in appearance is caused by filler.
Agree a personal plan.
Some hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved following clinical assessment. Other filler types cannot be dissolved in the same way. Discuss the proposed approach, alternatives, risks, costs and review arrangements before deciding.
Dissolving can cause reactions and changes to the existing result. It is not a guaranteed one-visit correction, and further assessment or treatment may be needed.
VASCULAR OCCLUSION & COMPLICATIONS
Experience when
time matters.
Adam has resolved over 100 vascular occlusion cases. His approach to complications includes careful assessment, clear communication and an individual management plan.
How ultrasound can contribute.
In suitable cases, ultrasound can help locate filler and assess vascular compromise, supporting decisions about targeted management. It is an additional clinical tool, not a reason to delay urgent care.
The cause, affected area and timing of treatment all matter. Previous successful cases do not guarantee recovery in another case.

Contact your treating practitioner immediately for an urgent face-to-face assessment. If you cannot reach them promptly, seek urgent medical help. For sudden vision loss, blurred or double vision, call 999 immediately. Do not drive yourself.
A routine website enquiry, Instagram message or future ultrasound appointment is not an emergency response.

Before your appointment
Ask whether ultrasound assessment is appropriate for your concern, what the appointment includes and what it costs. Imaging and dissolving are not automatically included in a free consultation. Any treatment or imaging fees should be agreed with the clinic in advance.
Bring previous treatment records where possible. Share medical history, allergies and medicines through the clinic’s clinical assessment process rather than the general website enquiry form.
